Zamalek’s spokesperson Essam Salem stated that the club will announce several important decisions in the upcoming 48 hours, following the team’s 3-1 loss against Espérance Sportive de Tunis in Matchday 3 of the CAF Champions League.
Salem added that the contract renewal talks with the Tunisian midfielder Ferjani Sassi during the coming two weeks.
Salem said that the club’s managment are in continual meetings in order to resolve the team’s current issues, as everyone is keen to save the season.
Also, Salem conculdes that the club did not impose any sanctions against Achraf Bencharki, following his disagreement with the team’s head coach Jaime Pacheco.
On a similar note, Salem refused to talk about the Portugese coach’s future with the team and affirmed that the dispute between Mahmoud Abdelhakem and Mohamed Abou Gabal was resolved.
