Morroco’s national team Bosnian manager Vahid Halilhodžić is determined to pick his strongest possible squad for Africa Cup of Nations qualifications, as the Atlas Lions are set to face Mauritania and Burundi.
Halilhodžić is keen to include Watford’s Adam Masina, West Ham United’s Issa Diop, As Monaco’s Sofiane Diop, Paris Saint Germain’s Kays Ruiz-Atil and Real Madrid’s Brahim Díaz in his list.
The Morrocan national team’s officials are currently negotiating with these players in order to convince them to register to play for Morroco.
According to several reports, Diaz was convinced to play for Morroco as he gave preliminary confirmation to represent the Atlas Lions.
Diaz has joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2019 for 17m euros coming from Manchester City.
However, Diaz did not have enough playing time with the whites, which urged him to move to AC Milan on a loan.
