Jeddah – xenia
Ittihad Jeddah team receives its traditional rivals Al-Ahly today, Saturday, in Jeddah city derby at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, in the third round of the Saudi Professional League.
The dean of Saudi clubs (al-Ittihad) is seeking to regain wins in the derby after an absence of eight years since his last victory over Al-Ahly in 2012, while Al-Ahly is preparing to confirm its superiority over Al-Ittihad.
al-Ittihad uses the services of its new player, Ahmed Hegazy, who recently transferred from the English team West Brom Albion, to lead the team’s defensive line, amid great optimism by the team’s supporters to achieve the full mark and reconcile the fans who were not satisfied with the team’s performance at the start of the league competition.
On the other hand, Al-Ahly enters the match after its elimination from the semi-finals of the King’s Cup and seeks to continue the series of victories in the league and confirm its dominance over its traditional rivals Al-Ittihad.
The matches in the Saudi Professional League are held behind closed doors due to the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid 19), which affects all countries of the world.
