The Egyptian giants Al Ahly sealed a comfortable victory today against DR Congo’s AS Vita Club in the CAF Champions League.
The Red Eagles defeated Vita Club 3-0 at Stade de Martyrs and jumped to the second position of Group A with 7 points.
The Tanzanian Simba are currently at the group table with 10 points, while Vita Club are in the third position with 4 points and Sudan’s Al Merrikh set at the bottom with only one point.
Al Ahly, who are the current title holders, started the game with high pressure in order to score the opener.
In the sixth minute, Mohamed Sherif netted the first goal to give his team the early lead.
The Cairo giants leveled up the game and in the 19th minute, Afsha bagged the second goal from a superb shot.
Al Ahly kept their dominance in the game and visited their opponent’s net for the third time, as Taher Mohamed Taher scored the third goal in the 78th minute.
