Sayed Abdelhafiz, Al Ahly’s director of football, denied all the rumours of any dispute between the team’s head coach Pitso Mosimane and the club’s head of marketing and transfers Amir Tawfik.
Abdelhafiz said that Mosimane did not communicate with Tawfik since a while, and all the news related to this issue are false.
Abdelhafiz added that the summer transfers file will be discussed during the upcoming meeting with the planning committee.
Abdelhafiz also denied that the club is seeking to sign a new goalkeeper, as the Red Eagles currently have Mohamed El Shenawy, Ali Lotfy and Mostafa Shobier.
Finally, Abdelhafiz concluded that the coaching staff will not impose any sanctions on Mohamed El Shenawy and Mohamed Hany, following their dispute during Al Merrikh SC’s game.
The Red Eagles are currently set to face Simba of Tanzania in Matchday 6 of the CAF Champions League group stage.
